Areas We Treat

Facial Areas We Target

Laser hair removal can be used to treat several areas of the face safely and effectively. Common facial treatment areas include:

Upper Lip Chin Cheeks Sideburns Neck

Many clients choose to treat multiple facial areas together to maintain consistent results across the face. We class all of these areas as Half Face.

The Laser Hair Removal Process

What to expect during treatment

Laser hair removal works by targeting the pigment within the hair follicle, gradually reducing the amount of hair that grows back over time.

01

The treatment area should be shaved prior to your appointment.

02

The technician will laser across the treatment area.

03

Hair will continue to grow normally for 7–14 days after treatment.

04

During this period the treated hair will begin to shed naturally from the follicle.

05

Once shedding occurs, most clients experience around 3–5 weeks of little to no hair growth.

06

Each treatment session gradually reduces the amount of active hair growth.

Treatment Timeline & Results

Laser hair removal works best when treatments are timed according to the hair growth cycle.

Results vary depending on hair type, skin type and hormonal factors.

Our Technology & Skin Types

Advanced laser technology for all skin types

At The Laser Base we use advanced triple wavelength laser technology, allowing us to safely treat a wide range of skin tones.

Our diode platform combines three laser wavelengths in one hand piece:

755nm - used by Alexandrite systems
810nm - Diode
1064nm - used by ND:YAG systems

This allows our technicians to target hair at different depths while ensuring safe treatment for all skin types on the Fitzpatrick scale. Before treatment we also use a hair and skin scanner to analyse your skin and hair type, ensuring the laser settings are personalised for the safest and most effective results.

Laser vs Other Methods

Laser vs traditional hair removal

Many clients rely on shaving or waxing to manage facial hair, but these methods require constant maintenance and can irritate the skin. Laser hair removal offers several advantages:

Reduced Skin Irritation

Laser treatments reduce the irritation often caused by shaving or waxing.

Long-Term Hair Reduction

Hair gradually becomes thinner and grows back less frequently.

Cost Effective Over Time

Laser treatments eventually transition to occasional maintenance sessions, rather than constant grooming.

Reduced Ingrown Hairs

Laser helps reduce the ingrown hairs commonly associated with shaving.

Before your appointment

To prepare for your laser hair removal session:

  • Shave the treatment area 12-24 hours before your appointment

  • Ensure skin is clean and free from lotions or oils

Your technician will provide full preparation instructions during your consultation.
