Meet Grace: From Laser Client to Laser Technician!
Hi everyone! I’m Grace and I’ve been a laser technician at The Laser Base for just over a year now.
My journey with The Laser Base started back in 2021, actually as a client myself, which is when I first met Jenny. Fast forward to summer 2024: I had just graduated and wasn’t entirely sure what direction I wanted to go in. When Jenny asked if I’d be interested in joining the team, I decided to take the leap.
I’d always admired the team and the positive culture here, and as someone who personally experienced the struggles of unwanted hair, I wanted to want to help others achieve the same confidence I found through laser hair removal. It really was a no-brainer to take the job, and I can now confirm it was the best decision I’ve made!
My favourite part of the job is getting to chat with our lovely clients all day. Throughout time, you really do go through so many different moments and emotions together, from discussing new jobs, relationships, birthdays, and holidays, to supporting each other through tough days. It’s such a privilege to share those little pieces of people’s lives and I’ve made many good friends along the way, all while helping you become hair-free, of course!
Laser hair removal improved my self-confidence massively, especially when going on holiday (which I love to do too) and it is so rewarding helping others achieve the same.
I don’t think I can pick only one favourite treatment, but my essentials are: underarms, Hollywood and lower legs. I used to get a lot of irritation from shaving these areas which laser has completely reduced, meaning less time shaving on holiday and more time relaxing😎
Before joining The Laser Base, I worked in the fashion industry and have always loved anything creative. I try and bring as much creativity as I possibly can to this job, whether it’s creating a fun Instagram post or decorating the salon for a special occasion. Outside of work, I’m usually making or painting something, or planning my next trip away with friends. I spend lots of time with my family (including my golden retrievers). I love getting out for walks with the dogs, especially to our local farm as it’s one of my favourite ways to unwind.
I feel so lucky to be part of such an amazing team and to meet so many lovely clients every day. I can’t wait to see you all in the salon soon! 💖⚡️
