Hey everyone! I'm Charlotte, and I'm one of the laser technicians here at The Laser Base.
Jenny asked if I'd properly introduce myself to you all — so here goes!
How I ended up here
My journey at The Laser Base began in December 2025, just over 6 months ago. I'd known Jenny for a while, and I'd previously worked in a salon doing beauty treatments. One day I reached out to her on the off-chance she might have something part-time alongside the beauty work I was already doing — and as luck would have it, The Laser Base was actually looking to expand the technician team. Perfect timing. The thing is, I'd been coming to The Laser Base myself as a client since 2024. I just loved it so much that eventually I thought — this is what I want to be a part of. I still work at another salon doing beauty treatments alongside my role here, and honestly, adding laser to what I do has just made me love my job even more.
What I love about it
My favourite part of the job is seeing clients' results. Honestly. I relate to it on a real level, because I've spent years dealing with thick dark hair ruling my life — I know exactly what that feels like. The shaving every other day, the self-consciousness, the rebooked beach days. And I know what it feels like when that genuinely changes. Building friendships and trust with clients along the way is so lovely. It makes me proud of what I get to do for people — just by laser treatment.
My favourite areas to treat
Probably legs and Hollywood. Those are the areas I struggled with most myself, especially on holidays — and they're genuinely not even a worry for me anymore. So when a client tells me their holiday was the first one they didn't think about shaving, I really get it. That's the bit of the job that makes everything else worth it.
When I'm not at the clinic
My favourite thing to do is going on holiday. (Can you even call that a hobby? I'm going to allow it.) I love always having a trip planned and exploring new places. 🌴 When I'm not on a trip, it's quality time with family and friends. Long walks with a coffee in hand, Sunday morning park runs, or going out for a meal and trying new food places. 🍝
What I love about working here
The team. I love the team I work with so much, and the lovely clients I speak to every single day. It genuinely makes coming to 'work' not feel like work at all. 🤍 Making people happy and confident in themselves is the best part of this job, and I get to do it alongside people I actually enjoy spending time with.
